If there’s one place I’ve spent more money since becoming a mom, it is Starbucks! Coffee has quite literally become my constant companion, and with the convenient drive-thru now only a few minutes from my house, swiping my card has become WAY too easy. While I absolutely LOVE treating myself to a cup of joe, I feel pretty guilty when a latte runs me five bucks a shot. SO, when my husband and I found ourselves with some Christmas money a few months ago, we decided to go in on an espresso machine together. We were a little nervous about making the initial investment because we didn’t want it to become like many other small appliances we own that had their glory for a little while before retiring to the storage room. Well, it turns out we have used our espresso machine EVERY SINGLE DAY since buying it. It takes me only minutes to make my own lattes! And I’m positive the machine has probably already paid for itself with all the money we’ve been saving. I wouldn’t quite call myself a barista yet, but I’ve concocted a few recipes that have become go-tos when I wake up groggy from sleepless nights with the kiddos. IMG_1758   AmaZING Homemade Skinny Vanilla Latte -2 shots of espresso -1 cup steamed milk -1 teaspoon vanilla extract -2 packets Born Sweet™ Zing™ Zero Calorie Stevia Sweetener IMG_1764
I try to make most of my lattes “skinny.” I have some skinny syrups that I’ll use too, but one thing I like about using Zing™ Zero Calorie Stevia Sweetener is that it’s made with only real ingredients — nothing artificial. Made with stevia leaf extract, Zing™ has zero calories. Actually, a little side note, since I was sent some to sample, I’ve been sprinkling Zing™ not only in my coffee, but also in my smoothies and even on top of fruit for a little extra sweet. I’m trying really hard to get rid of the remaining baby weight and Zing™ is helping me along! The creators of this product are offering a free sample to Mommy’s Me Time readers so you can add a little ZING™ to your life! Visit www.zingstevia.com to request a free sample, plus a $1.50 Coupon.
