Jamberry Nail Wraps Review & Giveaway

Last summer I randomly went to a Thrive Moms meet up in Minneapolis. It was really one of the first times I’d put myself out there to meet new people since having my twins. I was a little nervous, but really felt led to go. Like usual, it was a battle to get out of the house, and I wondered if it was really worth the effort to drive all the way into the city to meet with people I didn’t know. It ended up being one of the most important meetings to date since I’ve been a mom. The ladies there were absolutely wonderful, and there was someone who ended up sitting right next to me who was from the same suburb I live in. We spent a few minutes talking afterward, and found out that we actually went to the same college a few years apart, and that neither of us had family who lived close by. I also learned that she was a stay-at-home momma to an adorable little girl named Avery. (And is now pregnant with baby #2!)

A few weeks later we got together for a playdate, and hit it off. You know when you just click with someone? It was totally like that. I now call Christa one of my closest friends. We get together for playdates all the time, and text each other when we just need to get out of the house. We watch each other’s kids when we have appointments. We are each other’s “family” close by.

Here’s the thing. Christa is one of the most selfless people I’ve met. She drops off coffee and does Target runs for me when my kids are sick. She is always looking for ways to serve others. Heart of PURE gold.

Well, that first day we met she introduced herself and mentioned that she sold Jamberry Nail Wraps. But then months passed and she never mentioned it again. So, back in October I asked her if she’d show me what it was all about! She brought over some wraps, and showed me what they were.

Basically, Jamberry Nail Wraps are little stickers that can be applied onto the nail and are then sealed with heat. Christa had this neat little nail dryer that made the process super easy. I loved how they looked, and the best part? They were durable! I normally don’t put polish on my hands because honestly the next time I give a bath, cook a meal, or change a diaper, they get chipped. But you guys, these nail wraps lasted TWO WEEKS before I had to take them off. TWO WEEKS. And for $15 you get enough for two applications. WAY more affordable than a manicure and they look so cute.

The one thing I’ll mention. You MUST take your time and apply them well. Don’t rush it, or you won’t get your money’s worth. Make sure they are sealed well and that there aren’t any wrinkles. I would HIGHLY recommend getting an applicator kit, which gives you the tools you need to make them look professional.

There are also Mommy & Me sets! I haven’t tried them with Emersyn and Mckinley yet, but Christa just put some on Avery’s little fingers. I mean, seriously?!

There are so many fun designs to choose from over on Christa’s website. I’m loving them, and I can only imagine how fun they will continue to be as Emersyn and Mckinley grow up and I get to have girls’ nights with them. I was also thinking of you moms who have older kids and how they might be a perfect solution for prom this spring!
