Jake’s mom stayed with us for the past couple days while he was out of town on business, and she was kind enough to make meals for us! She always has the best ideas for recipes that are simple to make but taste great, and last night’s meal was no exception. This Spaghetti Bake is spectacular. What I love most about this is that you don’t have to boil the noodles beforehand, which means less time and fewer dirty dishes – always a win-win.I usually prep dinner during the kids’ afternoon nap, and I love that this would take all of about 10 – 15 minutes, and then I’d just need to do is pull it out of the fridge and stick it in the oven an hour and a half before mealtime.
Spaghetti Bake
Ingredients:
-1 lb. italian sausage
-1 diced onion
-1 jar spaghetti sauce
-2 cups water
-8 oz. uncooked spaghetti noodles, broken into pieces
-2 cups shredded mozzarella
Directions: Brown italian sausage with the diced onion. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Add the browned sausage and onion, spaghetti sauce, water, and pasta. Mix together. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 325 degrees for 90 minutes. Serve with sprinkled parmesan cheese. Our witching hour around here seems to be just prior to supper time, so I’m sure I will really appreciate this meal during an evening when all three kids are screaming. It will be nice to simply enjoy the yummy fragrance coming from the oven knowing that I don’t have to do much else to get a family dinner on the table when Daddy walks through the door.
Question: Do you or did you have a particular time of day when your kids seem(ed) to demand extra attention? What tricks do you have to keep calm during the storm? 🙂
Have a wonderful Wednesday evening!

That recipe looks delicious and so easy. I am going to have to make that for us soon.
I don’t really have any tricks for that needy time of day, but my girls definitely have certain times where they demand attention. One thing that works for us is an easy mess free craft, that doesn’t require much Mommy assistance. 🙂
Yum! That looks good!
