Sometimes I compartmentalize God. It’s easy for me to notice Him when it’s just Him and me during my quiet time. It’s easy to notice Him at church, at my bible study, and when I’m driving in my car listening to worship music.
But the rest of the week can be kind of hit or miss. It’s not that I become totally negligent of His commandments or forget about Him altogether; it’s just that I know I could do a better job of acknowledging His presence during the ordinary moments of my life.
Why? Because my heart yearns for more. I’m desperate for more of My Creator, and I’m desperate for the world to enjoy more of Him as well. We were made to make much of Him. So in order to give Him the glory He deserves, we must seek opportunities throughout our days to simply look for HIM, NOTICE His goodness, and share it with each other.
For the next 31 days, I’ll be reporting my God sightings here. I’m linking up with The Nester, and hundreds of other bloggers who are choosing one topic to write about every day during the month of October. I’ll be adding a link to each day’s post here, so consider this my landing page for the #31days challenge.
My prayer is that the Lord will use this as an accountability activity of sorts, to kick-start a habit that will continue long after these fleeting 31 days are over. Perhaps He’s also calling you to your own challenge. If your heart is stirring, head on over to The Nesting Place and link up!
May God be glorified as we simply NOTICE HIM!
Love,
Amber

I love this topic!! Such a great idea because it’s easy to miss God in the mess of motherhood. Looking forward to following your blog!
What an awesome topic and something I can do more of, too! I look forward to your posts and I’ll be following along!
Love that you’re doing the 31 Days challenge! I debated for a while, but then just couldn’t figure out what my topic would be – I love yours and am super excited to follow along. We get so caught up in what we’re doing in the moment that we truly do miss out on many of God’s blessings. Great idea and I already know it’ll be great encouragement to me!
