Some nights after the kids go to bed, Jake and I like to sit out on the deck and enjoy a “Mommy and Daddy” drink. Let’s be real, there are evenings when we treat it as a well-deserved prize for persevering through the crabby supper hour! I usually end up pumping shortly after the kids go down, so we have a little window when I can kick back and enjoy my beverage of choice.
Lately, that beverage of choice has been a delicious Beergarita. More often than not, we have a pitcher of these bad boys in the fridge during the summer months. I ran across this recipe on Pinterest last year, and haven’t tasted a margarita since that has given it any competition. They are THAT good!
Beergaritas
Ingredients:
-1 can frozen limeade
-1 can (using the limeade can) gold tequila
-1 can diet 7up or Sprite
-1 light beer
-Juice of 1 lime, or a few squirts of lime juice
Directions: Combine ingredients in a pitcher, and serve over ice.
If you’re a fan of margs, and also in need of a little de-stressing at the end of the day, treat yourself to a Beergarita! They are perfect for warm summer nights!
What’s your favorite summertime beverage?

Hi there! Found your blog via Instagram and love it 🙂 I’m boring and a big fan of lemonade in the summer, but I bet my husband would love these!
Question: I have heard varying advice about whether you have to pump and dump or if alcohol leaves your system by a certain amount of time when breastfeeding- thoughts?
Hi Amanda! Thank you for your comment and for reading my blog! As far as drinking and breastfeeding go, my lactation consultant told me that as long as I have a drink right after I feed or pump, that it will leave my system in time. If I have more than one drink, I always pump and dump! 🙂
With that said though, I feed my girls every three hours, so it has plenty of time to leave my system. If you feeding more randomly, then I suppose it would be harder to know if its gone for sure!
Nope, every 3 hours for my twins, too, so that’s good to know! Thanks!
YUM! Margaritas are one of my favorite summer drinks! Well….who am I kidding, I like them year-round. 🙂 I’ll have to try this recipe!
