I’m going to keep it brief tonight because I am wiped! Yesterday was full of rushing around getting last minute things in place for Baylen’s birthday party today (pictures to come tomorrow!). Although it was busy, God reminded me that He was walking alongside me, especially when we were at Target. We went there after swimming lessons and were getting close to lunch and nap time, so I was already running on borrowed time, and everybody was fussing quite a bit toward the end. In the checkout line a woman behind me saw me trying to juggle it all, and offered to help! That never happens! She said, “I can do something!” And then proceeded to take my groceries out to my car. She probably has no idea how much of a blessing she was to me, but her simple act of kindness made my day.

It makes me remember how important it is to have a can do attitude like she did. Sometimes it’s easy to think I may not have a lot to offer certain situations, especially big situations, but we can all do “something.”

Thank you, Lord, for reminding me that you have equipped me with special gifts and skills to be able to “do something”. Help me to seize opportunities to actually DO THEM!

It’s amazing how one simple act of kindness can make someone’s day. My 3 little ones are getting older but I remember how terribly difficult some days could be juggling them. I hope that I’ll have the eyes to see and the heart to help another.

    Take care!
