Kick-off & Sperry Slippers Giveaway

Welcome to the first post on Mommy’s Me Time – a place for mommies to go when we need a break or a little extra motivation! I’m writing this blog for all mommies, wives, and other women who spend much of our time caring for others and need a little recharge time for ourselves. I’ve learned that I have more to give to my family when I’m taking time to fill myself up.

Before I get going on regular blog posts on January 1st, I want to share a little bit about what you can expect on here. This is a place where we can encourage one another to take a few minutes out of each day and reserve it as “me time”. In my mind, there are two kinds of me time. The first type is simply doing something fun for yourself, such as reading a magazine, getting a pedicure, or whatever is fun to you…if given the chance, you don’t need much convincing. The second type of “me time” is something that may require a little discipline, but you feel better after doing it. Examples of this might be working out or deep cleaning a room. I feel so much better after breaking a sweat and I love the Martha Stewart high I get when something is super clean.

With that said, the posts on here will include some of each. You’ll find a variety of things that make mommies feel refreshed such as tips on how to take time for yourself, family friendly recipes, workouts on a time crunch, ideas for organizing and decorating our homes, do-it-yourself projects, and affordable fashion. 

By taking time for ourselves, we’ll be the best we can be for our families!
