We continue to get more settled into our life as a family of five every day. It’s starting to feel normal! Here’s what you’d find if you came to spend a few moments at our house these days…
Baylen is starting to understand what it means to be a big brother. He’ll give the girls kisses, and is becoming such a good little helper, bringing me a clean diaper for the babies when I ask for it, and patting the babies gently with me when I’m burping them. He’s also such a good boy when I’m feeding the girls. We have a couch set up in the toy room where I feed them and he stays busy with his puzzles or will walk over briefly to check out what’s going on. It also helps when Grandma is there to keep him busy! Our little man also LOVES to be outside these days, so we broke out the sidewalk chalk and he had a blast with it! Hopefully soon he’ll be able to play without his wolf hat on! As much as we try to keep him occupied with organized activities, there have certainly been moments this week when we throw in the hat and say yes to things like “organizing” mommy’s wallet. I have to say, I’ve been thankful for the entertainment Minka has provided lately. Baylen loves to tease her. He’ll pretend he’s gonna give her food and then will steal it away at the last minute. Yesterday I served as his body guard. 🙂 Baylen’s been helping us when we let Minka out. He gets to hold the treat she gets for coming back inside and gets to give it to her. Tonight, however, he decided he’d play hard to get and kept teasing her. We caught a snipit on video.
Baylen learned how to drink from a big boy glass this week!He wasn’t ready for Daddy to go back to work on Thursday. But we were thankful that Grandma could come help for a couple days so I could still give him plenty of attention!
Joey and Madison also came over to visit again this week!My first picture with all three kids! Here are a few pictures of my little beauties! They are busy eating, sleeping, pooping, and just being cutie pies. First up is Emersyn! And here’s little Mckinley, who is partial to rolling onto her side during naps. We started doing tummy time every day this week. They aren’t awake for long spurts yet, but we’re taking advantage of their wakey moments by working their muscles!Sleeping beauties…Mckinley got her first pedicure this week! We found something called Piggy Paint that’s a natural non-toxic nail polish perfect for their tiny little toes! This is how we’re planning to tell them apart, and while I don’t necessarily need it yet, I’m sure a day will soon come when I’m thankful for the pink paint!I am absolutely in love with our little family! We are so thankful the Lord has entrusted us with these precious kids!
Have a great week!

You will be so thankful for documenting these memories- even the “small” ones like Baylen drawing with the chalk. 🙂 Precious pictures of your family!!
Baylen seems like such a good boy! I’m glad everyone is settling in nicely to the new additions to your family. I just have to say… you look AMAZING! All that working out you kept up with while pregnant really paid off. You do NOT look like you just had twins (or a baby at all for that matter)! 🙂 I love that nail polish, such a good idea because they really do look exactly alike! Does one have a freckle/mole or birth mark to help you decipher between the two?
