Well, friends, I made it through my first full week flying solo as a stay-at-home mom of three! Jake was working, and no family members were here helping me out during the day. Thank goodness Jake wasn’t traveling at all this week, because God knows I was more than ready for him to walk through the door each night.

Overall, it went well. Sure, my laundry is piled up, dust bunnies are likely found in every room by now, and there were a couple days when I didn’t get a shower in until all the kids were down for their afternoon naps, but hey, we made it. I’m learning to give myself grace as I settle into a routine, and am thankful that my husband reminds me to do so when I forget.

I’m also thankful for a husband who is willing to listen to me when I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed, who knows me better than I know myself as my crazy post pregnancy hormones settle down, and who sends me out of the house for a few hours by myself so I can recharge from time to time. It’s amazing how a simple trip to Target or Home Goods can give me a fresh attitude and perspective!

God is so good, and He’s been reminding me moment after moment to FIND JOY IN THE JOURNEY. I love my kids so much, and am grateful that I get to spend my days loving on them and watching them grow!

A peak at our week…

We plopped Emersyn on top of Baylen when he woke up one morning for a little sibling bonding. I think it’s safe to say they both liked it. IMG_8654When Baylen isn’t getting to know his sisters, you’ll likely find him outside. This boy would stay outside ALL DAY if I let him. He loves to “work” in the yard, and after a hard day’s work will perch himself on this ledge.IMG_8665 This week he also learned how to climb into the bathtub by himself and turn the water on. We’re still working on teaching him that he has to take his clothes off first…IMG_8795This little man is becoming quite fond of selfies…IMG_8692

We had a few visitors this week! My good friend, Rebekah, came to meet the girls, brought us yummy pizza, and helped me get them ready for bed!IMG_8674

Jake’s parents made a quick day trip up here this weekend too! IMG_9287They are Harley enthusiasts, so they brought Baylen a t-shirt so he could join in the fun too. We added some “tatoos” to complete the look.IMG_8713And finally, some pictures of Emersyn and Mckinley. I try my best to put Emersyn on the right side and Mckinley on the left so that when they’re older I’ll be able to tell them who was who when they ask!IMG_8628IMG_8657IMG_8704IMG_8782And that’s a look at my first week flying solo. It was a good week, but I’m looking forward to having my mom up here again tomorrow to keep me somewhat on track with my cleaning schedule, and of course to cuddle her precious grandbabies.

Have a blessed evening!

I love your Mommy’s Me Time…and this snippet of Moments Mommy Captured. Your pictures are so nice to see how big they are getting each time I see their pictures. You have a gift of how to write and picture everything as you go along. I would suggest maybe putting together a book to publish (in your spare time :o) )

Your week looked super busy but fun. Dont worry when they are little dust bunnies grow even if you have a singleton.
“The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.”
