I can hardly believe my little Case is already three weeks old! And that he’s my FOURTH baby! I’ve been thinking back a lot lately to the early newborn days with my firstborn, probably because he was also born in the fall and the season brings back all kinds of sweet memories. When I think back to my first days as a mom, the thing that caused me the most anxiety was nighttime. I remember going over to Baylen’s bassinet, which was literally two feet from my bed, about a dozen times a night to make sure he was still breathing. There was just something so surreal and frightening about having such a tiny body living in my house, and I wanted to make sure the little guy was okay! Plus, I feel like with all the warnings and information about SIDS, it doesn’t take much to get a new mom who is already full of emotions and crazy hormones to feel overwhelmed by it all.
This time around I’m finding that I’m more relaxed, in huge part because of the Snuza Trio Plus. The Snuza Trio Plus is a three in one monitoring solution. Included in the package is a Snuza Video Monitor with audio/video capabilities. Unlike many other monitors on the market, this one also allows you to talk into the monitor so you can soothe your baby with your voice without having to walk into the room. The high quality 3.5 inch LCD screen also displays the room temperature which is huge for me, because I always tend wonder if the room is too hot or cold.
I keep the camera on the dresser, but it also comes with hardware that gives you the option to attach it to the wall which allows you to see the baby from all angles!
Along with the audio and visual, the third component is a device called the Snuza Hero. The Snuza Hero is a portable movement monitor which clips onto baby’s diaper to make sure normal movement is maintained. Hero detects even the slightest abdominal movement and will alert you if baby’s movements are very weak or are fewer than 8 times per minute. If no abdominal movement is detected for a period of 15 seconds, hero will vibrate gently. Often this vibration is enough to rouse the baby and hero will revert to monitoring mode. After three vibrations/rouse incidents, the Rouse/Warning will alert you to the fact that your baby’s abdominal movements have stopped for 15 seconds on three occasions.
The great thing about this system is that the Snuza Video and Snuza Hero are separate units that can be used independently. This is helpful when we travel to my parents house, for example, who have baby monitors set up for the kids. I don’t have to take along my specific baby monitor, but I can just bring along the Snuza Hero, clip it onto his diaper and have peace of mind wherever we are, knowing that I’d hear the alarm through the monitor.
If you know a momma to be, whether it’s her first or fourth, and are looking for a gift that’s perfect and unique, this would truly be a great one. Along with giving her peace of mind, you’ll allow her to get in extra sleep which we all know is the best gift you could possibly give her during those hazy weeks.

My favorite memory was having me,my husband, little precious baby girl and our English bulldog sleep in the living room for the first month. I loved having us so close, especially when my husband would pass little lady to me the first weeks since I had a csection
My son meeting his brother, our dog Buehrle.
My very first memories of bringing home our first son (who is only 6 weeks old) are some of the greatest times in my life. When we finally got him home I remember being so overwhelmed with love and fear at the same time. I was amazed that I could love someone so intensely after only knowing them a few days. My fears were that something would happen to our perfect little man or that I wouldnt be a good mother. I assume these fears will never subside and will probably only intensify over time.
But I would say that my favorite thing is watching my husband with him. Having our son has made our marriage bond so much stronger and I am eternally grateful for that!
Please pick me!! I would love a monitor like this!!
My favorite memory is cuddling my newborn after a late night feeding!

I don’t have a memory yet because we will be taking our first newborn home in February! I cannot wait for that moment!
Early memory was when we first brought our 3rd home. My father-in-law had watched our 2 older and there was snow and ice on the grounds. Getting inside was so nice to be home and it was warm. Everyone got to hold him, and then he and I took a nice nap 🙂
My favorite memory was giving our little lady a tour of her home and especially her nursery 🙂 all of those months dreaming of her being in her room and she was finally there!
We are expecting twins in about 10 weeks & I’m trying to find the best monitor for us—- this sounds AWESOME!!! I’ll be hauling around two (possibly three) monitors nightly because there is NO WAY I’m ready to let me 2 year old go all night without mommy being able to peek at him!
Thanks for reviewing a great product!

I’m going to be a first time Mom, so I don’t quite have those memories yet. I loved your product review. My husband and I have been looking into monitors and this would be a great fit!

My favorite memory of bringing my baby home for the first time was how we sat in the car and waitedfor my husband (daddy) to shovel out our driveway. It was snowed while we were at the hospital and the wind had blown like crazy so we had to wait before we could even pull in our driveway, such a good daddy for our new baby girl!
My favorite part bringing my newborn home was realizing how miraculous the gift of life is and just how amazing our God is! Every little part about them is just perfect!

Snuggling on the couch together 🙂
My favorite memory from that first night was the silence all around me. All I could hear were my sweet bundles breathing softly. My first baby was actually twins, and after 4 months in the NICU, I was very ready to leave the monitors and beeps and interruptions. I just loved he peace I felt being with them and knowing they had been entrusted to me.
My best memory is bringing my newborn home for the first time was just knowing I’m a mommy to my sweet baby boy!
Showing him his room 🙂

Soaking up all the newborn cuddles was my favorite!
So funny you posted a review and giveaway about this now. My husband and I have been looking into different types of sleep monitors the past few weeks! Thank you!!
Sitting in the rocker in her room for the first time, just the two of us with no nurses, doctors, family, or friends to interrupt. It was the first time I really felt like I was her mom and she was my baby girl. I think that’s when I fell in love.
What an awesome little gadget and giveaway!! My favorite memories of bringing home my newborns are always all the snuggle and cuddle time. I love that time! With my first I remember everyone telling me to lay him down when he was sleeping but I just ached to hold him, so i did, and I am so glad I didn’t just lay him down and instead soaked in all that cuddle time 🙂
My favorite memory of bringing our first home is how slow my hubby drove. He was so cautious and afraid of anything happening on our hour drive home, it was the cutest thing.
What an awesome giveaway!
I have to laugh at myself looking back at how I was too scared to leave baby in the back seat alone so I sat in the back with her. Then getting her home and just getting to lay in bed holding her! It’s hard to believe I have 4 now and a first grandkid on the way!!
My favorite memory was actually bringing him home and keeping him there with us! We were readmitted to the hospital with jaundice after one night home, so it was so great to actually have him back home, even with a bili-bed!
Even though I was new to everything – first time mom. It was still so exciting, thinking this is my child. The bonding is the best part

I’ve brought home 3 newborns, but thinking back to my very first, I remember being SO excited to walk through that front door with him after waiting so long to bring him home. All of the pain, the sickness, the long days, it was all worth it.
My favorite memory was being in the car and having my hubby drive us home slowly because he was being extra careful on the road. Took for ever to get home but we made it safetly.
I will be brining my first newborn home in November, and I am so, so excited! Thank you!
i hardly remember bringing crue home. i was so obsessed with our days in the hospital! he slept through the night right away and it totally really did just all flow together. but in that moment we walked through the door, our lives changed. and all of my dreams had finally come true! i loved showing him everything around our home that was now his new home 🙂
My favorite memory was all the times I’d get to nurse him in peace and quiet and the way he looked up with total trust.

Love snuzas!
Holding my sleeping baby in my arms and knowing she lived inside me for so long.
I’m a first-time mom and my boy is now 2-weeks old. I’m looking at which is the best baby monitor to buy. Does the Snuza trio plus includes the video monitor and the movement monitor? Or do I have to purchase the two separately?
