Before I became a fitness coach, I was a big time runner. It was my main form of working out. There’s just something about running that helps me clear my mind in a way that nothing else does! I’ve run marathons, half marathons, 10 milers, 10Ks, and 5Ks. But here’s what stumped me for YEARS: As much as I was running, I never got the muscle definition I wanted. I might have lost a few pounds here or there, but in general my body stayed the same.

About 4 years ago, I started to implement strength training workouts in addition to running. Within a few weeks, not only was I feeling stronger, but I was running faster, and had shed the remaining baby weight that was hanging on after having my fourth baby!

Below are my FIRST ever 21 day results! On the left, I was running 4 – 5 miles a day. On the right, I was running 1 – 2 miles a day, plus a 30 minute strength workout!

I’ve continued to make progress, and here’s where I’m at today! Consistency (not perfection) over time is where it’s at!

As I’ve continued to research how I can best help my clients get the results they want, I’ve learned it’s been proven that the most EFFECTIVE way to get maximum fat loss is to pair cardio with weight training!

Throughout the winter we do a lot of HIIT (high intensity interval training) + strength workouts, but now that the weather is nice throughout the entire country, it’s time to break out the running shoes!

Our most POPULAR boot camp of the year, Sweat Well Spent, starts this Monday, June 3rd! Ā We will be training for a 5K together, and will be using strength training + core workouts to help us get MAXIMUM results! You are welcome to run or walk, whatever is best for your current fitness level! Beginner runners are welcome!

This boot camp will be 3 weeks long, and will take place inside a private Facebook group. I will post the daily workout assignments plus daily motivation and encouragement to keep you accountable! At the end of the 3 weeks, we’ll each run a 5K in our own town! After we’re finished, we’ll report into the virtual boot camp, and you’ll have a chance to win some fun prizes for various categories! You can expect the workouts to be 35 – 60 minutes, 6 days a week.
