I love my kids more than it’s possible to describe. They don’t have to be doing anything special to prove themselves worthy of my love. I simply delight in watching them during the simplest of moments. Baylen will be splashing at his water table, and I find joy in just obvserving him while he’s at play. Or he could be zooming his little cars around the house, and I find myself in absolute love with how he does it. Even when he throws a tantrum and cries for 20 minutes before agreeing to sit in his high chair, I love him just the same then as when he obeys easily. There is nothing he could do to separate himself from my love.

The same thing goes for Emersyn and Mckinley. I love them when they are smiling and cooing, and I love them equally as much when they are crying and need to be held and comforted. They are always so precious in my sight.

I think God gives us this ability to love unconditionally to give us a glimpse of how He feels about us. Think about how much more intense the Creator of the Universe must love us! His capacity is beyond measure! He loves us no matter who we are or what we have done.

And that includes YOU. You are lovely. You are beautiful. You are His child. We are all going through different journeys. Maybe you are at a point in your journey when you are content and experiencing lots of joy. Or maybe you’re feeling a little frumpy and undesirable. Or you are tired…and you don’t see an end in sight. Or you are lonely and so badly want companionship. Or you messed up again, and are hopeless that you’ll be able to turn your habits around. Or perhaps you are shaking your fists with anger and need God to settle you down and hug you in His arms. Whatever your circumstance, He is looking down on you and is absolutely in LOVE. He wants to meet you where you are, and remind you that YOU ARE PRECIOUS. Let Him love you and adore you the way we adore and love our kids.

Let Him fill you up and remind you that you are secure in His love, and that you are precious in HIS SIGHT!

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” -Psalm 103:11-12

    Hi Amber,
When I first started reading your post tonight, I thought to myself…That is how God is..how HE loves us unconditional..how HE loves our children even more than we as mothers do. God’s love is so awesome. It is hard to think of how HE wipes away all of our sins as white as snow. God has blessed you and Jake with 3 beautiful children and loves to hear how you love and enjoy every part of their being. I missed so much of my 4 children growing up as I had to work out of the home. I look back so often how much I missed with them. It is another one of God’s blessing that you can stay home with them and being a mother of 3 little ones is a very hard job and you are doing GREAT. I love to read your posts of how you are all doing. I pray for God to give you the energy and vitality that you need to be the mother HE wants you to be. May God’s blessing be on you and your family.
    Much love, Mary
