Mommy Tees

I’m a stay-at-home mom, which means sometimes it can be pretty darn tempting to stay in my sweats all day, since technically I don’t have to abide by a dress code or wear anything specific. However, I find that when I spend a few minutes to shower (or at least wash my face and brush my teeth) and then put on a decent outfit, I feel so much better. Just as putting on a nice outfit when I used to head to an office everyday put me into a professional mindset, the same holds true when I’m at home. I am seriously in such a better mood and feel prepared to tackle the day ahead after I have my clothes and mascara on! However, this doesn’t mean you’ll find me galavanting around the house in silk blouses and dress pants. Nope, not even close. I feel great when I’m able to wear something cute yet comfortable. It also has to be ultra easy to wash because by the end of the day it is most likely to be covered in spit-up from the girls or stains from my precious son who likes to use me as a napkin.

So, where do I go when I need to find comfy cute shirts? The LOFT. If you’ve gone shopping with me, then you know this is my favorite store. My husband knows this well. When I needed to get out of the house last week he sent me there on a little shopping spree. He said he wanted me to find some new clothes for Spring to help me get through the postpartum slump. Gosh I love that man!

Among a few others things, I came back with my favorite t-shirts. They are awesome. They’re long enough to cover my ultra-lengthy torso, and don’t shrink at all when you wash them. While they’re super comfy, they are form fitting, but not too tight. If you’re in the market to spruce up your mommy wardrobe, I’d highly recommend buying some. They may not be fancy enough to wear out on a hot date, but they are just perfect for everyday mommy activities. AND, I just noticed that they’re buy one get one half off online right now…a great way to justify a little treat, don’t ya think? So there you have it, a simple shirt that makes me feel like a million bucks! Now, if only the snow would stay away, I’d be able to actually wear them! Until then, this Minnesota gal may be giving into those stay-in-my-sweatpants days more often than I should. 😉
