Before taking these photos, we landed in Paris after an overnight flight from NYC. We arrived around 9am, stored our suitcases at the hotel concierge, and took an Uber straight to the Eiffel Tower.

We climbed all the way to the top and @jakekuiper grabbed me a glass of champagne. 🥂

The toast represented a big decision we were about to make for our family. After 9 years at my previous company, I was feeling unsettled about the future there, and I finally convinced myself to do something about it.

I had been feeling like I was going through the motions and I didn’t have that same energy and passion I once had. I noticed changes and the direction I felt it was going, and I didn’t feel confident anymore to share the dream that had been shared with me.

I started as a stay at home mom when my kids were little, and I was able to scale the business to 6 figure income within a few years. It gave our family more options and time freedom, including taking trips like this, and I loved helping other women create significant income for their families too.

It got to a point though, where creating the same kind of income I was making wasn’t happening for others anymore, and I didn’t feel right about that. My business was still solid, but I wanted more for my teammates. I had team members working SO hard and the needle wasn’t moving forward fast enough.

I’m not saying everyone there feels like I did, and I’m so happy for the people there who are still thriving, but I felt I was being led in a different direction.

I’ve never been one to think the grass is greener elsewhere, but my gut felt different.

I learned about a new to me company, and although I asked them difficult questions, every answer I heard was another reason to make the leap. It felt right. I felt aligned. And most importantly I was setting up my team to truly win again.

I’m now two months into my new business and I have more energy and excitement than I have maybe ever had. I don’t feel stuck anymore. I don’t worry anymore. The leadership here is rock solid and we are growing and positioned for more.

We had the best weekend in Orlando with friends! A

We had the best weekend in Orlando with friends! After all we’ve been through the last few weeks, it was nice to have a little time to do something fun to end the summer.

We went with our friends @joelfreemanfitness and @meganewoldsen! Joel and @jakekuiper have been friends for a while and have gone on many guys’ trips, but this was the first time getting our families together. 😍 Our kids are all around the same ages which made it easy! We rented a house about 5 minutes from Universal, which I highly recommend doing if you go to Orlando. They have so many great family friendly options on Airbnb, many with themed bedrooms, awesome game rooms, and pools. You can save money, make some of your own food, and have a lot more space than a hotel room!

On Saturday we went to Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure! Since we only had one day to get through both parks we opted for the Express Pass and it was worth every penny! We were able to ride almost everything we wanted to in both parks! 🙌🏻 The only thing we didn’t ride this time was one of the Harry Potter roller coasters called Hagrid’s which doesn’t have an express pass option. So something to keep in mind if you really want to do that wokld be to budget a couple more hours. We stayed almost until the parks closed, then grabbed dinner at Bon Fire at City Walk on the way home. If you go to Universal with a big group I recommend this place as some of the restaurants there don’t do big groups last minute.

On Sunday we went to Volcano Bay which is Universal’s giant water park. We didn’t get express passes there and I’m glad we didn’t. There you get a watch to put on and scan it to enter the virtual line. When it’s your turn your wrist buzzes and you return to the ride to check in. They have slides for all ages, a lazy river, and big pool with a wave pool that goes off every 30 minutes!

You can also load a credit card onto your watch so that you can put everything else in a locker for the day! If you want to have your phone with you, I recommend bringing a water proof case or you can purchase one there.

So thankful for the time we had together with these wonderful friends this weekend! 🙏🏻

They are getting so old! 🥹 It hurts my mom heart to think about how fast this all goes. But I’m soaking up every moment and so excited for them to have a great year! ❤️🙏🏻

Yesterday morning Dad went to Heaven. While I was flying back to Florida, he was flying up to Heaven. ❤️🥹🙏🏻

I don’t have a lot of words right now, mostly just tears. 😭😭😭😭

For now, I’ll share what’s getting me through is the promise we have of eternal life through Jesus. Dad had the most peaceful entrance into Heaven, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is fully healed from cancer, reunited with his parents and loved ones, and basking in the presence of our awesome God. 🙏🏻🙌🏻🪽

I am so blessed to have had such an incredible dad. He really was the best. 🥹

Thank you for all the love and prayers you’ve sent our way over these last few weeks - it was a blessing I’ll treasure forever to spend so much quality time with him during his last days on earth. God is so good and gracious. 🙏🏻🥹❤️

Be grateful for every second of every day that you

Be grateful for every second of every day that you get to spend with the people you love. Life is so very precious. 😭

Less than three months ago my dad’s PET scan said no signs of cancer. Last week he wasn’t feeling well and landed back in the hospital. There were some touch and go moments, and after having another scan we learned that the cancer was back, and had aggressively started spreading to other areas of the body. It was confirmed that he has stage 4 lung cancer and there is no cure. 😭💔

Thankfully he made it out of the hospital and was able to go home, and is now on hospice care. My mom has been a home health and hospice nurse for 34 years and is the manager in their area. He is in very good hands with the nurses from her team, but gosh so many emotions for my mom as no one prepares you for the day your own husband needs to go on hospice care. 😭🙏🏻

I’m thankful to have the flexibility to spend time with them in Iowa right now, soaking up all the memories and reminiscing. God is so good and He continues to give us just enough peace and grace for each moment.

Thank you for all your kind messages and thoughts and prayers after I shared this on my Instagram and FB stories. I am so blessed and grateful to be connected to all of you. Social media can be used for so much good and you are all proof of that. 😭❤️🙏🏻

P.S. Yesterday was my dad’s 64th birthday, and we had the best little party for him. After the good news a few months ago my parents decided to start a remodeling project and added an addition onto their farm house - although it’s not done yet, it has been so nice to have extra space for dad to see visitors. God knows all these little details and what we need. 🙏🏻❤️

We left our house in Naples at 4:30am, drove two hours up to St. Pete to catch a direct flight to Sioux Falls, had lunch with my parents at the airport, gave some big hugs, and they took the kids to their house for a few days.

Then Jake and I continued on to Phoenix! We can’t remember the last time we took a trip just the two of us that wasn’t work related, so when my parents offered to take the kids we were so looking forward to it!

Our kids are at such fun ages right now and we love being with them, so most of the time we all travel together, but it really is so special to have the chance to spend quality time just the two of us. Excited for a few days of hanging out with my best friend in the HOT sun, quality conversation, and dreaming about the future. We are so excited and at peace with where God is leading us and I can’t tell you how great that feels after a season of feeling very unsettled. 🙏🏻❤️

Fourth of July memories with sweet friends! We took advantage of our summer reciprocal club memberships and enjoyed the afternoon at Kalea Bay! It was a beautiful place to hang out and enjoy good weather, good food, and good company!

The tween girls had fun getting ready for dinner in the gorgeous spa! 🥰

In the evening we headed to 5th Ave for dinner at Hob Nob and then walked to Naples Pier to watch the fireworks!

It was such a great day. So very thankful to live in this incredible country - thank you to all the service men and women and their families for all you sacrifice so we can continue to live in the land of the free. 🇺🇸❤️🙏🏻🥹

One of the most frequently asked questions I’ve

One of the most frequently asked questions I’ve gotten over the last few weeks since we decided to make a career change is, “What were the main things about this new company that stood out to you?”

First of all, I want to be very clear that this was a decision Jake and I made together. We’ve always looked at my business as a family business, and I value his opinion so much. He has been gifted with keen business sense and I feel so blessed that over the years God has given us discernment together on when we need to make pivots professionally.

The things that drew us to this new opportunity are aligned with the vision we have for our family and future.

1. The longetivity and stability of the company. In this economy that was very important to us. I have seen so many companies come and go over the years, and I didn’t want to join a start up and take a chance. My mental health couldn’t handle that. This company has been around for almost 70 years. They are solid financially and positioned for growth.

2. Their products. They thought being natural was cool before it was cool. They are committed to natural wellness solutions that go beyond the standards of organic. Their testing is more extensive than any other company you will find and they do not take shortcuts. They have 300+ products that families like mine are excited about and looking for.

3. Their leadership. This company was purchased several years ago by an extremely intelligent businessman whose net worth is in the billions. He is humble, down to earth, and people focused. We had the chance to hop on a Zoom call with him and were absolutely blown away by his character, demeanor, and willingness to proactively create tools, software, and marketing needed to bring this company to the next generation. He mentioned the excitement he had to work together for decades to come.

4. The culture and age diversity. This culture is family oriented, down to earth, and genuine. There are people of all ages both young and old and it’s beautiful to see the generations who are loyal and love this company and what it stands for.

My pre-teen identical twins love shopping at Lulul

My pre-teen identical twins love shopping at Lululemon, Sephora, and are always looking for the next pair of cute Jordans. 👟😳 When they started getting into all this not too long ago, we had a problem on our hands. 😂 Although I find myself being tempted to buy them all the things, I knew that this wasn’t going to teach them the value of a dollar. I treat them to things on special occasions like their birthday, Christmas, and back to school shopping, but I needed a strategy for the in between. 🤣🤪

I grew up having to work hard for things and so did Jake, and even though I didn’t think it was “fair” why some kids just got things and I didn’t, learning a solid work ethic at a young age was such a gift my parents gave me.

So here’s what we decided to do! I hired them as my household helpers. They get paid a modest hourly wage to help me do laundry, clean, organize, you name it. It’s a win win for all of us. 🙌🏻

To take it a step further, I set my kids up with Greenlight Cards. Have you heard of them? They are debit cards for kids that you can add money to via an app on your phone. They have different accounts like savings, spend anything, tithing, ect so you can have conversations about all that too. Plus they learn that the things they want have tax and how that makes things cost more instead of me spotting them for stuff like that. 😉

They love it, and I love it! They feel empowered to work and save up for things, and when we go to a store they can even pay all on their own. I love seeing them think through their purchases and being so proud when they can afford the next thing on their list.

Parenting pre-teens isn’t for the faint of heart, but so rewarding when you see their wheels turning and understanding things like this! 🙏🏻🥰

P.S. We all have different parenting approaches and no judgement for how you do it, just wanted to share what’s working for us!

Now my boys on the other hand, are not motivated by “things” at all right now so this doesn’t work for them as well! 🤣🤪

After I hit 35, my body started feeling off. I exp

After I hit 35, my body started feeling off. I experienced random symptoms that I had never had to worry about before. I felt bloated more often than not, my energy levels were all over the place and I wanted to take a nap most afternoons. My cycle was super wacky too. I gained 20 pounds and it was harder to lose it. A month ago I was in the gym holding back tears, because I felt so unsettled with where I was at professionally. I felt in my spirit God was closing the door at my current company, but I was fighting it. I loved my time there, the relationships I made, and it was all I knew for the last nine years.

The thought of doing anything else sounded terrifying and honestly my confidence had been hit pretty hard over the last couple years that I truly wondered if I’d have success anywhere else.

It wasn’t easy to face the unsettling head on. It would have been easier to keep going through the motions. In fact, I almost did that. I told myself maybe I just needed to go all in one more time and try again. Maybe I wasn’t doing enough and if I just got in the right mindset, it would be better.

But the reality was, I had tried that already. I had tried and tried to keep this door open for as long as possible. I thought my job as a leader was to be strong for my team and keep trudging through the mud.

But then one day I realized that it’s okay if I feel called elsewhere. God gave me this beautiful peace and reminded me that He calls us all to different things in different seasons, and just because some leaders still feel passionate to stay, that doesn’t mean it will be the case for all of us.

For me, being authentic to what my heart was telling me had to be most important. Because after all, if I’m trying to lead out of any place other than that, it’s not going to workout in the end anyway.

It’s been a wild month, one when I’ve experienced so many emotions and had more difficult conversations that I can count. But it was worth the fight to be where I’m at today. I feel aligned, I feel confident in the path forward, and I have my spark back, which I haven’t had in quite some time. I couldn’t help but smile at the gym today thinking how far God has brought me. 🥹✨

Florida here I come! Three days ago I boarded a pl

Florida here I come! Three days ago I boarded a plane all by myself to Dallas to attend a conference for my new job. I was excited and knew God was leading me to this new, but I had no idea what to expect.

Upon getting dropped off by my Uber driver, I walked into the hotel, checked in, and then started following the arrows to pick up my registration packet. I had been there less than five minutes when I met two friendly ladies in the elevator. We found registration together and had the nicest chat. Then in the bathroom I met a woman who had been with the company for 45 years and she gave me a giant hug welcoming me into the family. The whole weekend was filled with kind moments like that. Their culture is genuine and full of authenticity. They went above and beyond to welcome me and I have so many new friends of all ages. 🥹

They have been around for nearly 70 years, so there were attendees ranging from people in their 20’s all the way up to 98 years old! And let me just say, the older people look amazing and so healthy! I truly couldn’t believe how great their skin looked, and how sharp and vibrant they were! The 98 year old told me he felt he still had another 20 years in him! 🥰 They have a strong belief in the products, have been using them for decades, and are STILL so excited! I love learning from the older generation!

I learned about the history of the company, and most importantly the quality of their products. We do more quality testing than any other company out there, above and beyond the standards of organic. I learned that while many companies are making budget cuts when it comes to the quality of their ingredients due to inflation, we are leading with integrity and refuse to do that. It has been 5 days since I announced my big job change, and WOW what a week it has been! I was so nervous to share my news. 😳 Your outpouring of love and support overwhelmed my heart in the best possible way. THANK YOU. 🙏🏻🥹

I firmly believe there are times in our lives when God unsettles us in one season so that He can nudge us into a new one. In the middle, it can feel sad and confusing and terrifying though.

When I started to sense that I was being led somewhere else, my first inclination was to ignore it and kind of bury that thought as quickly as possible. After all, I had been at BODi for nine years, I loved my work, I built a successful team and business, loved the fitness aspect, and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

It was hard to think about walking away from something that I poured my heart and soul into for so long. For these reasons, it took me a while to truly be honest with where I was at. I dove back into my work, convincing myself that maybe I just had to give it a little more, re-energize myself, and then I’d feel content to stay.

But what I found, was that when God starts to close a door, there is literally nothing we can do in our human power to keep it open. I started seeing more and more signs that my time was coming to a close, and as hard as I tried to justify why I should stay, enough things added up to where my heart KNEW it was time to seriously consider what God had next for our family.

It isn’t easy to even get your mind to even CONSIDER changing course when the one you’ve been on has felt so comfortable for so long. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned and know to be true, it’s that you don’t experience GROWTH by staying in your comfort zone either.

So here I am, closing in on the first week at my new “job” and while I’m still feeling all the emotions, I feel a peace and excitement in my heart that surpasses human understanding.

So here we go! I’m flying to a conference for my new company ALL by myself! It has been a LONG time since I’ve done something like this. It’s nerve wracking yet exhilarating at the same time, because when you’re confident in where God is leading, He gives you the courage you need. ❤️

Happy Father’s Day to my amazing Dad! Father’s Day this year is extra special to me because last fall he was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. This completely broke our hearts and I was terrified of losing him. Needless to say the last six month have been some of the scariest ones of our lives, but God is so good. Despite all odds and a very low percentage that the cancer would go away, at his last PET Scan the report said NO SIGNS OF CANCER! 🥹🙏🏻❤️

Dad, you are a walking miracle and like a cat that has nine lives. 🤣 You keep scaring us, but God isn’t done with you yet! We are so thankful to get many more memories with you, making us laugh like only you can. ❤️

I’m so thankful for the ways you have been an example to me of giving unconditional love to everyone around you. I’m thankful for how you taught me to be generous and kind to all people, regardless of any situation or ways they have wronged you in the past. You have a heart of gold and I’m so honored to be your daughter.

P.S. I had to share the video of us laughing because it’s one of my best memories. We were eating at Perkins in Sioux Falls after one of his surgeries and something hit our funny bone and we could NOT stop laughing. So glad my mom captured this moment. 🥰🤣

Happy Father’s Day @jakekuiper! When we were dating in college one of the first things we talked about was having a family, raising kids, and all the things we wanted to do with them. We would talk about how many kids we wanted, and even some of the names we liked. I knew you were a keeper when I heard your heart’s desire to be the best dad you could be and everything you were thinking about.

Fast forward 17 years later. I get the honor of having a front row seat watching the way you intentionally love our kids. You have completely BLOWN AWAY even the highest expectations I ever had. You love them fiercely, coach them toward greatness, know when to push them and know when to offer grace. You constantly tell them how much you love them, remind them how much potential they have in this world, and best of all they absolutely adore you and feel SO loved by you.

We are beyond blessed to have you leading our family. Happy Father’s Day! We love you so much. ❤️🥹🙏🏻

I’m about to share a BIG life update, and this was truly one of the most difficult decisions of my adult life. 🥹❤️

As many of you know, I have been a BODi Partner / Beachbody Coach for the last 9 years. I started as a customer when I had 4 kids under 4 years old, and was struggling to find a fitness routine that fit into my crazy busy mom life. Discovering the at home workouts offered through (Beachbody) at the time, was a complete game changer for me. The workouts coupled with the nutrition plans and supplements helped me to learn a solid foundation of how to live healthier when I had never been taught how to do so before.

I went from being a tired, overwhelmed mom dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety to a mom who had energy for her kids and who felt confident in my own skin again. I found myself telling everyone I knew about it! When I learned of the business opportunity, it seemed like a natural fit - I wanted to pay it forward to other moms who felt like I did, and what a journey it has been since that decision.

BODi gave me the opportunity to build a business from home while I raised my kids from babies to preteens, developed me in so many ways as a person, and gave @jakekuiper and I the blessing to meet so many authentic, down to earth women in the process, many who became dear friends. I will be forever grateful for every piece of that.

I am so thankful for each and every one of you and the support you have given me over the years. It truly means the world. THANK YOU. 🥹❤️🙏🏻

I will always love BODi and I look back with zero regrets. It was an honor to build a business there. It completely changed our lives, and I will continue to cheer on all my friends at BODi always.

That being said, my heart is being pulled in a different direction professionally, and although it is extremely bittersweet, I have so much peace and excitement about where God is leading me.

On our third day in Paris, we walked and explored

On our third day in Paris, we walked and explored the city, and spent the afternoon at Luxembourg Garden!

I learned about this place when I was researching things to do in Paris with kids, and I’m 10 out of 10 so glad we made it there.

It’s a massive park with the most beautiful walking paths and so many different outdoor activities for the kids to do. From basketball, to soccer, to riding ponies, to a carousel, playground, and floating miniature sale boats in the pond, this was such a lovely place to spend a few hours.

One of the things we noticed constantly while in Paris was the laid back pace. It’s inspiring compared to our nonstop American culture. Wherever you look, you’ll see French people hanging out at corner cafes, and sitting at parks just chilling, without being on devices.

Our favorite activity was the mini sail boats. You pay just a few dollars and they each get to take a sailboat and a stick and they push it out into the and follow it around for 30 minutes. As preteens, they honestly thought it was going to be lame but they ended up having the best time! Sometimes mom still knows best! 😉

Paris Day 2! We started the day walking from our hotel to the Louvre Museum! (Some of the best advice we were given when we checked into our hotel in Paris was to walk as much as possible so you can really see the city. It was absolutely amazing to walk through, seeing adorable cafes on every corner, not to mention the shopping! 🤯😍)

The Louvre is MASSIVE and if you were really into art they say it could take 3 days to see it all! I believe it! We were blown away by the size. I wouldn’t consider us major art people, so our main goal was to find the Mona Lisa. We still spent a couple hours walking around while we found it and saw a ton! The history is breathtaking.

It was so surreal to see the Mona Lisa in real life! Although the room itself to see her is WILD as you can see in the video. 🤪 Worth it though! 🥰

After the Louvre we walked along the Siene River, grabbed lunch at a food truck, and then went on a river cruise of the Seine. You start at the Eiffel Tower and then take an hour cruise around the city while they point out major landmarks. So glad we did that!

Afterward we walked home, and saw a bunch of areas where they are setting up for the Olympics, then grabbed dinner at a French restaurant and dessert at a little cafe! It was a great day! 🥹❤️

Paris Day ONE! We landed at 9:30am and that first day after an overnight flight always requires some extra willpower to push through. 🤪😴

We took a shuttle from the airport to our hotel (about an hour) and dropped our luggage and headed to our first tour at the Eiffel Tower at 1pm. We had a climbing tour! So we climbed as far as we could, then took the elevator all the way to the Summit which is what they call the top.

At the top we enjoyed amazing views and a glass of champagne! Everything about the Eiffel Tower was absolutely breathtaking and so much bigger than I imagined. A STUNNING experience.

After the Eiffel Tower we walked back to our hotel, showered (which always feels HEAVENLY after a 24 hour day of traveling with little sleep) then we found a local pizza place and had a bite to eat!

Our first impression of Paris was that we ADORE it. Truly such a beautiful city around every corner. 🇫🇷❤️
