Another weekend flew by just like that! On Friday night the boys have flag football games. Being able to play football outside every Friday night of the year is one of the many reasons we love Florida living! I will never take it for granted. Jake coaches the boys’ team and it has been so neat for them to have that quality time together. Case usually plays up with Baylen’s age so they can be on the same team, but this season we’re letting Case play on an additional team with kids his age too – he wanted to play with all his friends which is so fun!
Go Case go!
The football fields are the place to be on Friday nights! They all love hanging out with their friends!
Saturday morning we were out the door by 8am for Emersyn’s volleyball scrimmage! She started club volleyball this year and is loving it! It’s so fun to watch her build confidence in a new area!
I had to document this photo too as we were leaving for volleyball – haha! Out of all the glasses in the cupboard she always grabs the moscow mule mug for her chocolate milk! You’re a cutie, Mckinley Jo!
While we were at volleyball the boys had basketball games and practice! We beat them home and swam in the pool for a bit. We just ordered a new volleyball net and basketball hoop for the pool because our kids hadn’t been using the pool much. I opted for white this time instead of a “fun” color and love how much cleaner it looks back there. It’s amazing how adding a couple new activities makes it feel like a new experience again! Just like anything, right? I remember the same thing would happen when they were little and I’d clean out the playroom – suddenly they actually played with their toys again!
We also got this air track last year for the girls’ birthday. We originally got it to help with gymnastics and tumbling practice, but then found out it works great in the water too! I’m sure it would be great in a lake as well.
Here are the links!
Air Track (We have the 20 foot version but honestly if I were to get it again I’d go with the 13 foot. 20 is so big and hard to move around and really not necessary to be that long! The 13 foot is on sale as I write this post!)
Saturday late afternoon I ran to WalMart to get groceries and an oil change. I also tried to get new tires for my car, but they didn’t have the right size. Jake and I are not car people, but someone stopped me at school the other day and pointed out how worn down the front tire was and that it was likely going to pop soon. So thankful for this good samaritan! He was right! Thankfully we got it taken care of on Sunday at Tires Plus.
The rest of Saturday night we just chilled and ordered in pizza. I paired it with a homemade greek salad and it was a perfect treat! I also made this ice cream sandwich dessert and the kids LOVED it. Always a hit! Saturday nights are dessert night and we always have fun looking forward to it.
Sunday morning we went to church! It was about marriage and SO GOOD. If you want something really good to listen to while you do laundry or drive your kids around this week, I highly recommend! I just checked and it’s not uploaded quite yet, but it should be soon. Here’s the link! We go to First Naples – you are welcome anytime! Lots of young families and an amazing student ministry!
I mentioned on Instagram the other day that I’m on a mission to refresh my whole closet. I did some Spring cleaning recently and realized that I have VERY little in my wardrobe that I’m actually excited about wearing. I’m tired of walking in there and thinking, “I have nothing to wear!” I just haven’t made clothes a priority lately – sometimes I struggle to spend money on myself. I feel like I’m always buying stuff for the kids but I need to focus on me a little. Even Jake is like, “Why don’t you just order some stuff?!” So anyway, I’ve started to find a few things and have heard from so many of you that you’re in the same boat. So I’m going to share links as I find cute mom options! Please share some with me too and we can help each other out! Haha!
This is a dress I recently found at J Crew Factory! I wore it to a fundraising dinner a couple weeks ago and to church yesterday. It’s simple, light, and comfy! I have to mention these sandals too. Funny story. I was in Old Navy a few week ago and just needed some simple sandals to wear for something. I only had like 10 minutes so I grabbed these and figured I wouldn’t wear them much but they were cheap so whatever. Well, they ended up to be the COMFIEST things in the world and I find myself wearing them all the time! Here’s the link to both of these things!

After church on Sunday we dropped my car off at Tires Plus and headed to watch one of our friends play soccer! She’s a senior in high school and it was so neat to see her play – she’s going to college next year on a soccer scholarship and it was super cool for our kids to see how hard work can pay off! Go Madeline!
After the soccer game we came home – the boys and a friend played basketball with the new pool hoop and we prepped for the week ahead!
This year I’ve tried to get in the habit of creating a meal plan for the week and it helps everything run so much more smoothly. Last week I had an off week and didn’t, and it felt like we were one giant dumpster fire all week! It felt so good to get back on track – I always share my plan with my BODi customers in a weekly newsletter so if that’s you, be on the lookout!
Before we went to be we had the kids lay out their clothes for school, then watched a show together for a few minutes. We’re working our way through Monk – anyone remember that show?! Jake and I watched it years ago and now we’re watching it again with the kids – we all love it and look so forward to it.
Have a GREAT week, everyone!

Amber
